Two people have been arrested after a man was stabbed in the buttock in Lincoln.

Officers were called to Appleby Way, Birchwood, shortly after 23:00 GMT on Saturday.

A man in his 40s was taken to hospital with injuries described as non life-threatening.

Lincolnshire Police said two men, aged 18 and 36, were arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent. Both were bailed with conditions.

The force appealed for witnesses or anyone who saw suspicious activity to contact them.
