A former police officer has been given a suspended prison sentence after admitting making indecent images of children.
Former Wiltshire Police officer Callum Denley, 20, from Malmesbury, appeared at Swindon Crown Court on 2 May.
The offences included category A images, the most serious abuse material, police said.
Denley, who was suspended as soon as the force became aware of the charges and has since resigned, was also ordered to do 40 days of rehabilitation activities and was put on the sex offenders' register for 10 years.
Denley pleaded guilty to three counts of making indecent images of children, one charge of possession of an extreme pornographic image and one of possession of a prohibited image of a child.
The 10 month sentence was suspended for 18 months, and Denley was also given a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for five years.
