Road closures will be in place across Nottingham as the Robin Hood Half Marathon takes place on Sunday.

City centre routes affected by the closures include the stretch of Maid Marian Way from Canal Street to Upper Parliament Street, and all roads and junctions into The Park.

Nottingham City Transport is also advising bus passengers to expect delays as services are rerouted.

The race - which was first held in 1981 - is set to start at Victoria Embankment from 09:30 BST.

Roads to be closed include London Road in both directions - from the BBC Island to Trent Bridge - from 09:20 to 10:20, and Trent Bridge in both directions at the same times.

The whole of Queens Road will be shut for much of the morning, with limited access to the train station car park.

Derby Road - from St Helens Street to QMC Island - will close from 08:00 to 13:00, and Middleton Boulevard, northbound and southbound, will shut in the morning until 11:40, with parking restrictions also in place in Church Street, Triumph Road and Wollaton Road.
