Section of M25 closed temporarily over vehicle fire

Traffic was stopped on a section of the M25 in Surrey on Wednesday after a vehicle caught fire.

National Highways said traffic was stopped just after 08:30BST on the anti-clockwise carriageway near junction six at Godstone.

Traffic was released about 30 minutes later and all lanes reopened by 10:30.

National Highways said firefighters were on the scene and delays of at least 45 minutes were expected.

Surrey Fire & Rescue Service said there were no casualties and its crews left the scene at 09:30.
