Crowds gathered for the first day of Lincoln's festival of history.
The event, now in its second year, is being held until Monday in locations including Lincoln Castle, the cathedral, Cornhill Square and the Guildhall.
Various eras from the history of the city are being celebrated, with Roman encampments, vintage vehicles, medieval and Viking activities and Victorian re-enactments.
The event runs from 11:00 to 15:00 BST daily.
