Arrest after man injured in two-car crash

A 28-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of driving while under the influence of drugs, police said

A man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries and a woman arrested after two cars were involved in a collision.

The vehicles collided at about 09:20 GMT on Tuesday as they travelled in opposite directions along the A49 Dinmore Hill between Hereford and Leominster.

The driver of one of the cars, a man in his 60s, was taken to hospital with what police described as “serious and potentially life-changing injuries".

The other driver, a 28-year-old woman, was treated for minor injuries and was arrested on suspicion of driving while under the influence of drugs.

West Mercia Police has appealed for witnesses.
