A drug dealer who brought "misery to our communities" by supplying drugs to Cambridge from his London home has been jailed.

Police raided Bradley Faponle's home in Beechwood Avenue, Greenford, London, in January after a tip-off that suggested he was operating a county lines operation.

Officers found messages on a mobile phone linking him to running the John and Tony drugs line, Cambridge Crown Court heard on 3 April.

Faponle, 38, pleaded guilty to one charge each of being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin. He was sentenced to seven years in prison.

Officers also found more than £2,000 in cash and a Rolex watch that could not be accounted for, according to Cambridgeshire Police.

Det Sgt Martyn Willis said "prolific drug dealers like Faponle target vulnerable people" and added he had been jailed for similar offences in 2019.

"Through his movements and the text messages that had been sent from his phone, we were able to show that Faponle was responsible for running a criminal enterprise between London and Cambridge," he said.

"County lines bring misery to our communities in the form of drug dealing, exploitation and violence, and will not be tolerated in Cambridgeshire."
