A major family holiday park attraction could be built in Derbyshire and create up to 500 jobs.
US leisure operator Great Wolf Resorts wants to build a 500-bedroom hotel, indoor water park, conference facilities and varied leisure facilities on the outskirts of Clowne.
Plans for the land off the A619/Gapsick Lane junction also include mini-golf, mini-bowling, ropes course, games arcade and a selection of restaurants, cafes and bars.
A public consultation event is being held on 20 May at Clowne Town Cricket Club.
'Exciting project'
The development was described by Bolsover District Council as an "exciting project".
Local residents will also be able to access the facilities through "day passes" without the need to book accommodation.
Council leader Jane Yates said: "This is an exciting project that will certainly put us on the map.
"One of our key priorities is growth with the creation of jobs, and this proposal not only meets this but will provide us with leisure opportunities that will be fit for 21st Century living."
Great Wolf Resorts currently operates over 20 branded resorts in the United States and Canada.
Its first UK resort near Bicester in Oxfordshire was initially blocked by Cherwell District Council, but an appeal to the planning inspectorate in 2021 was successful.
But the project is currently "paused", with the company saying it was exploring several other sites.
The company said its Clowne project was at an early stage and a full planning application would be submitted in due course.
