Woman charged after pedestrian killed by car last year

A 19-year-old woman has been arrested and charged after a pedestrian died after being hit by a car in Coatbridge last year.

The incident, which involved a black Vauxhall Corsa, happened on Brambling Road at about 17:20 on Saturday, 9 November 2024.

The 57-year-old woman was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where she later died.

Police said the 19-year-old woman would be reported to the procurator fiscal.
