Durham Police seized the items after tracking down the address

A haul of stolen steaks and Milkybar Golds was tracked down when police spotted the treats were being raffled online for £1 a ticket.

Staff from a grocery shop in Aycliffe, County Durham, spotted 50 tickets were being offered on Facebook.

The post, showing neatly laid out chocolate bars, rump steaks, pork loin steaks and bacon, assured readers the meat was "all in good date, back in my fridge".

Durham Police said officers tracked down the poster's address on Saturday and retrieved the illegal shopping.
