Hundreds of homes without power after wire damage
- Published
Hundreds of homes have been left without electricity after a power cut caused by damage on the network.
Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) said the outage had impacted 503 customers near Waterlooville in Hampshire.
The energy firm said engineers are in the area repairing a damaged wire but added "these types of faults often require extensive work and specialist teams, such as tree cutters".
It confirmed that it hoped to restore power to residents by 18:30 BST.
