A community arts centre and an organisation tackling inequalities in education have been selected for a national culture programme run by the British Museum.
Metal Peterborough, an arts centre, and The Kite Trust, which supports the wellbeing of LGBTQ+ young people in Cambridgeshire, will take part in the initiative called "Where we are..".
The programme aimed to empower people aged 16-24 through creating arts and culture projects within their communities.
Ruth Campbell-Ekins, the director of Metal Peterborough, said: "This is a brilliant initiative that we hope will provide young people opportunities for creative experiences and skills development in the city."
Over the past four years, the five-year programme has worked with more than 120 young people in 10 cities around the UK.
Young people who join the initiative, which is supported by the Paul Hamlyn Foundation, external, decide what type of arts and culture projects they would like to pursue and co-produce.
The project aims to remove some of the barriers to engagement that young people face within the culture sector and create a sense of community for them.

Metal Peterborough works within communities and has supported over 11,000 artists
Metal brings artists and communities together to inspire positive change, through events and exhibitions.
Ms Campbell-Ekins added: "We're looking forward to working with young people in Peterborough to identify what matters to them and to create a new arts project together."
The Kite Trust helps to build inclusive communities and tackle inequalities through consultancy, training and education to all sectors.
Pip Gardner, the chief executive at The Kite Trust, said: "Creativity is central to our work with young people, and this project will provide those who need it most with the opportunity to express themselves."
Hanouf Al-Alawi, the national outreach manager at the British Museum, said: "It was so inspiring to hear about the commitment of each of these partners to young people in their communities and I am confident that their projects will have a lasting impact."
