A security firm has doubled its patrols on a city estate after a student from Saudi Arabia was fatally stabbed.
Mohammed Algasim, 20, had been studying English on a 10-week placement when he was found with a stab wound in his neck in Mill Park, near Cambridge railway station, on Friday at about 23:30 BST.
Security firm, Dardan, which operates on the CB1 estate where the incident took place, told the BBC it usually has two security officers patrolling at all times including overnight.
However, since the incident, it said the overnight team has doubled to four.
The CB1 community group said it wanted to reassure residents, external that security in the CB1 area by Darden and by Hyline had increased during evenings and overnight.

In a tribute issued by his family, Mr Algasim was described as a "young man brimming with enthusiasm".
It said: "He was a dutiful son, a loving brother, and the leader of the family in spirit, not in appearance.
"He was cheerful, chivalrous, pure of heart, quick to give, and passionate about others.
"Over time, he became the family's charisma, leaving behind an unforgettable legacy in every gathering."
In a statement, EF International Language Campus, a Cambridge-based language school that teaches English to overseas students, said it was "deeply saddened" by the death of one of its students.
"We are providing support to all students and staff affected by this tragic event and have organised counselling sessions," it added.
Chas Corrigan, 21, of Holbrook Road, Cambridge, has been charged with murder.
He appeared at Cambridge Crown Court on Wednesday and is due appear again in court on 8 September.
