Work to carry out repairs to one of the biggest car parks in Inverness is due to start next Monday.

The four-week project costing an estimated £325,000 will involve 25 concrete columns that Highland Council says are critical to the stability of the city centre building.

The local authority-owned car park will remain open during the repairs, but parts of the site will be fenced off.

The 856-space multi-storey car park is close to Inverness's bus and railway stations.

Highland Council said temporary props had been installed in the worst affected areas.

It said permit holders on the ground floor would be temporarily relocated and had been contacted directly to provide them with more information.
