A man has suffered life-threatening injuries after a multi-vehicle crash, police have said.

Officers were called to the scene in Willerby, East Yorkshire, at about 14:20 GMT on Friday after three cars collided while travelling southbound on the A164 towards the roundabout near Papas.

Police said a crash between a blue Peugeot 3008 and a grey Mercedes Benz EQA caused the Mercedes to collide with a red Volkswagen Golf.

A male passenger in the Peugeot was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, and a woman who was driving the Peugeot was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

No-one else at the scene was injured, a Humberside Police spokesperson said.

The force is appealing for anyone with information or dashcam footage of the incident to contact to them.
