More than £3,400 has been raised for an international disaster relief charity by a community in Cornwall.
Shelterbox said families from Mawgan Porth had raised funds by hosting BBQs, sandcastle competitions and brunches.
The Cornwall-based charity specialises in providing emergency shelter and supports people who have lost their homes after disaster and conflict.
Event organiser Daphne Lay said the fundraisers were "a real joint effort" between volunteers and the community.
She said: "We have a strong community in Mawgan Porth, and it’s great to be part of it - the sun shone, and the beach was busy for the sandcastle competition and BBQ, with lots of holidaymakers getting involved.
"It was a fun family event, although a nightmare to judge because every sandcastle was amazing for the ages and abilities that were involved."
The charity said it was fundraising in response to the conflict in the Middle East, helping people in Lebanon and Gaza living in community shelters with items like blankets and mattresses.
Jenn Sandiford, community volunteer engagement officer at ShelterBox said Mawgan Porth's support made a "powerful difference".
She said: "One of ShelterBox’s values is community and Mawgan Porth is an excellent example of the strength we have in it.
"People from the village come together year after year, giving up their time to support and fundraise for us."
