Rape arrest after suspect climbs onto roof

Police said the building was cordoned off until the man came down

A man has been arrested on suspicion of rape after the suspect took to the roof of a property in Grimsby, police said.
Officers were called to reports of a disturbance inside a property on Wellington Street at around 17:00 BST on Friday, Humberside Police said.
The suspect had climbed onto the roof, and police cordoned off the property until about 21:00.
A 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault, rape and intentional strangulation. He remains in custody.
A police spokesperson said: "We would like to thank the public and the local community for their patience and understanding whilst the incident was dealt with and brought to a safe conclusion."
