The M5 has reopened after a "serious" accident shut the motorway for more than six hours.
The road was closed between junction 24 for Bridgwater and junction 25 for Taunton in both directions after a collision.
Motorists were earlier advised to seek alternative routes while National Highways and Avon and Somerset Police responded to the incident.
"If you were travelling in the area at the time and have any dashcam footage or information which could help our investigation," said the force, advising people to call 101, quoting reference number 5225050845.
