A 21-year-old man has appeared in court accused of posting a video online threatening pupils and staff at a college.
Charged with sending communication threatening death or serious harm, he spoke only to confirm his name, address and date of birth at Newport Magistrates Court.
Prosecutors told the court that the video, which has been viewed 2,500 times on YouTube, contained "graphic detail" of threats to kill towards people attending The College, Merthyr Tydfil.
He was granted bail with strict conditions of residence and a night time curfew, he is banned from using social media, visiting the college and Merthyr Tydfil town, and is expected to appear at Cardiff Crown Court on 29 September.
In a statement issued by the college, they confirmed it had opened for the first day of term "following a thorough review and assessment of the safety of staff, learners and building users".
