WH Smith at Jersey Airport set to close

The WH Smith shop at Jersey Airport will close as part of redevelopment of the terminal.
Ports of Jersey said it was part of changes that would "transform the customer and retail experience" at the airport.
It said there would be some staff affected by the closure and that they would be supported.
The Airport Masterplan, external will see the Departures Hall refurbished, from Security through to the gates.
In a statement, Ports of Jersey confirmed that WH Smith would close on Monday 22nd September.
It said that the changes were part of the "planned redevelopment of the terminal", and would mark the beginning of improvements to the customer and retail experience "reflecting valuable feedback from customers".
Ports of Jersey also confirmed that while redevelopment works were under way, food, beverage, and duty-free outlets would remain open.
It said it would "ensure that key items - including daily newspapers, travel essentials and refreshments - continue to be available for passengers".
WH Smith now traded exclusively as a travel retailer based mainly at airports, railway stations, hospitals and service stations after selling its UK High Street division earlier this year.
