What have been the big stories in the West this week?
Two police forces in the West of England have been told by government inspectors that it needs to make improvements. Both the Wiltshire Times, external and Bristol Live, external published the findings from reports into Wiltshire Police and Avon and Somerset Police.
A Chinese student was injured during a "racially-aggravated assault", reported Bristol 247, external. Avon and Somerset Police have released images of a white female who they say "can assist with our enquiries".
Gloucestershire Live reported on how waste from a Bristol restaurant was found dumped on a quiet country lane in Hanham, external, South Gloucestershire.
Bristol Live reported on how the restaurant Cappadocia apologised, external and said it had hired a contractor to dispose of the rubbish, thinking it would be taken to a recycling centre.
Somerset Live, external brought us the news of a double-decker which crashed into a tree in Somerset in the early hours of Thursday. Three people were injured in the crash.
