No sweet ending as police spot Aldi chocolate theft

Two women have been arrested on suspicion of stealing hundreds of pounds worth of chocolate.

The pair were spotted by an off-duty police officer in an Aldi supermarket in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, on Friday, allegedly concealing the treats in their jackets.

Chocolate worth £212.14 was returned to the store.

On Cambridgeshire Police's Policing Huntingdonshire Facebook page, external, the force quipped it was not a "sweet ending".
