A Hull road has closed and another has a lane closure in place due to a burst water main.

Yorkshire Water said Marfleet Lane, from the junction with Hedon Road to Ceylon Street, is closed.

Meanwhile, the inside lane eastbound on Hedon Road is also closed, with diversions in place.

The utility company said engineers were working "as quickly as possible to fix the issue".

A spokesperson added: "We know this is a busy road and the traffic management may cause some delays, we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank everyone for their patience whilst we carry out this important repair.”
