Police are investigating after an English flag was painted on a mini-roundabout in a north Wales town.
The roundabout on Maesdu Road in Llandudno, Conwy county, was dubbed with the St George's Cross, which symbolises the patron saint of England.
North Wales Police said they were making inquiries, while the council has condemned the "graffiti".
England flags have appeared in towns and cities in England during August, with many attached to lampposts.

In some instances, the movement has also turned to vandalism, with mini-roundabouts and crossings painted in the colours of the St George's Cross.
Groups responsible for putting up the flags have told the BBC they are motivated by pride and patriotism, but others have said it feels provocative at a time when tensions are running high over immigration.
A spokeswoman for Conwy council said they would remove the St George's Cross on the roundabout.
"Unauthorised painting or graffiti to the road surface is illegal and will be removed," she said.
"This vandalism costs public money to repair and will cause disruption to road users while we clean it up."
A spokeswoman for North Wales Police said: "We are aware [of the graffiti] and enquiries are ongoing by local officers."
