A pedestrian died from multiple injuries after being hit by a car on Great Yarmouth seafront, an inquest has heard.

Paul Leavy, 39, died on 27 August after being struck on South Beach Parade.

The driver of a Tesla, a man in his 20s, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has been released on police bail until 8 November, Norfolk Police said.

The inquest opening at Norfolk Coroners' Court in Norwich was told Mr Leavy had died of multiple injuries in a road traffic collision.

A review of the inquest case will take place on 17 March, when a date for a full hearing could be set.
