A-road van fire is put out after causing tailbacks

A van fire that caused tailbacks and thick black smoke on a major road has been extinguished by crews.

Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service was called to the A14 westbound between Swavesey and Ermine Street at about 11:00 BST.

Traffic backed up to the services at Boxworth while the incident was dealt with.

Three crews used hose reels to extinguish the blaze and had returned to their stations by 12:20.
