Man flown to hospital after being hit by car

A man has been airlifted to a hospital in London after being hit by a car in Kent, police say.
Officers were called to the incident in Linton Road, near Loose, Maidstone, at 05:33 BST on Wednesday.
The man was treated by paramedics at the scene and taken to hospital in a serious condition, South East Coast Ambulance Service said.
The road has been closed near to the junction with Rosemount Close while an investigation continues, with motorists told to consider using alternative routes.
