Boy critical after motorbike crash on golf course

A teenage motorcyclist is in a critical condition after falling from his bike on a golf course, police said.

The incident happened at City of Wakefield Golf Course, off Horbury Road, at about 20:55 BST on Tuesday.

The 16-year-old boy fell from the bike as he rode across the course and remains in hospital with a life-threatening head injury, West Yorkshire Police said.

Officers urged anyone who saw or has footage of a red Honda motorcycle travelling along Horbury Road prior to the incident to get in touch.
