A look ahead to remembrance events across the South

Services and parades are taking place across the region

Services are due to take place across the south of England as towns and cities fall silent to remember those who died while serving in the armed forces.
Residents will gather in Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Dorset, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight for events to mark Remembrance Sunday, held on the closest Sunday to Armistice Day.
Here are some of the services and parades taking place in the region.
Isle of Wight
The County Remembrance Service, external will get under way in Newport on the Isle of Wight at 10:45 GMT.
Clergy, cadets, dignitaries and musicians will all be in attendance and there will be a full parade through the town centre after the service.
The Last Post will be played by Bugle Major Reginald Frank Peachey, using the silver bugle that was originally presented to the 1st Battalion of the Isle of Wight Rifles prior to their departure for the Gallipoli Campaign during World War One.
Berkshire
Events in Berkshire will take place in multiple locations, including Reading, external and Newbury, external.
In Reading members of the public are invited to attend the Remembrance Service, which begins at 09:25 at Reading Minster.
Following the church service, a march through the town centre will be led by The Waterloo Band and Bugles of the 7 Rifles before finishing at the Forbury War Memorial for the Remembrance service.
Newbury's Remembrance parade begins at 10:30 at Pelican Lane and finishes at the Market Place for the service.
Service sheets will be available for members of the public.
Oxfordshire
A parade in Oxford will assemble in Magdalen Street East and West and march on from 10:00 towards the War Memorial on St Giles.
If members of the public require a British Sign Language interpretation, an interpreter will be located on the junction of St Giles' and Woodstock Road to the west of the dais.
Several road closures will be in place, external in Oxford until 14:00.
Dorset
Across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole, external people will be able to attend a series of Remembrance Day services and parades.
The parade will start from Bournemouth Tennis Courts at 10:35 and will be led by the Salvation Army and BCCF Marching Bands, finishing at the Cenotaph in the Central Gardens.
In Christchurch a parade overseen by the Royal British Legion and joined by a mayoral civic party will take place from Bargates to Christchurch Priory via the High Street. The service will begin at 10:55.
Poole will see a parade from the cricket pavilion at 10:20 to the War Memorial in Poole Park.
In west Dorset, a service will be held at the War Memorial on Weymouth Promenade, external opposite the Prince Regent Hotel from 10:55.
Hampshire
The Lord Mayor of Southampton, James Baillie, is encouraging residents to come to the city's cenotaph, external for the annual remembrance event, which will begin shortly before 11:00.
"Our great, resilient city played a huge part in the war and Southampton's service and parade is always incredibly special," he said.
In recent years, more than 2,000 poppies have been knitted and donated by communities across Southampton to create a display at the Cenotaph. These will be on display again this year.
Winchester Cathedral, external will open its doors at 09:00 for a service which begins at 10:00.
It will be led by Reverend Canon Dr Roland Riem, with Bishop Philip Mounstephen preaching and will include choir music and readings.
Among the events in east Hampshire, external, there will be an assembly of uniformed organisations gathering in Petersfield at Swan Street Car Park at 09:45 ready to march to the square at 10:15.
