Police were called to Birchington Avenue in Grangetown

A man has been taken to hospital after a suspected stabbing, police have said.

It happened at about 15:30 GMT in Grangetown, Redcar and Cleveland.

Cleveland Police said officers were called to Birchington Avenue after reports of a stabbing.

The man suffered head and arm injuries in the attack, said a force spokesperson.
