Police stopped a car after spotting a pair of ladders sticking out of its boot.

Lancashire Police Specialist Ops gave the driver a fine.

"The driver of this vehicle thought it was acceptable to drive with this ladder hanging from the rear of the vehicle, with no means of making this safe," the team said in a Facebook post.

"Driving with such load presents a risk of danger to other members of the public."
