A man has pleaded not guilty following a stabbing in a city centre.

Police were called to Parliament Row in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, shortly after 11:20 BST on 12 October.

A man was taken to hospital with injuries that were not believed to be life threatening, police said.

Seyed Pouria, 23, was charged with wounding with intent, possession of a knife in a public place and attempted robbery - he has been released on bail, with conditions not to enter Hanley.

His next hearing is scheduled for 19 January.
