Police say they are investigating the deaths of three swans in Glen Shiel in the Highlands.

The birds were found by a member of the public in a layby on the A87 east of Cluanie Inn.

Police Scotland said the discovery was made on Thursday 6 March, but it has only now issued an appeal for information.

The force said the cause of the birds' death was unknown at this stage.
