Essex Police said the Oliver Road in Grays was closed for several hours

A man has died following a collision involving a lorry and a pedestrian.

Officers were called to reports of a crash in Oliver Road, in Grays, Essex, at about 06:30 GMT on Friday.

The pedestrian, a man in his 60s, died at the scene.

Police are asking anyone with information or dashcam footage to get in touch. The road was closed for several hours while emergency services attended.
