Scooter rider dies following four-vehicle crash

The rider was taken to hospital but died the following day

A man who was riding a scooter has died following a four-vehicle crash.
Officers were called to the collision, which happened on the A361 near Glastonbury, in Somerset, at about 14:15PM BST on Wednesday.
The crash involved a Lambretta scooter, a Polestar car, a VW Transporter van and a Range Rover Sport, Avon and Somerset Police said.
The man was taken to hospital but died the following day. No other injuries were reported.
"His family have been updated and are being supported by a specially trained officer," a police spokesperson said.
The road between Glastonbury and Pilton was closed while initial investigations took place but was reopened shortly after.
