Officer assaulted during search for missing man

A police officer was assaulted while a widespread search for a man in his 20s was carried out.
Essex Police had been responding to a concern for welfare in Chelmsford after a man went missing from the city at 12:15 BST.
A large police presence could be seen in Moulsham Street after the man was located via the deployment of a helicopter.
He was detained at 14:10 and left in the care of medical professionals, the force said.
