A retired plumber has been capturing his daily walks in one of the flattest parts of the UK by taking photographs.

Dave Bradley, 67, has been capturing The Fens in Cambridgeshire for about 25 years.

His photography has helped people who are unable to leave their house to see the countryside they live in.

Mr Bradley, from Yaxley near Peterborough, said "people would laugh if you said The Fens are magical" and he was trying to disprove that.

Mr Bradley said he used to take pictures of the scenery when walking his dogs, and said he was always "taking it all in".

Mr Bradley grew up in Dogsthorpe in Peterborough, so has known The Fens all his life.

Talking about inspiring people to get into photography he said: "Get out there and practice and practice.

"I just love the Fens because as you can see when you look around everywhere is flat but beautiful in my eyes.

"You can see for miles and spot wildlife miles away and the sunrises and sunsets are just... well.

"I feel very privileged to be able to walk this fantastic place with a big sky and wonderful wildlife and to share my photographs."

Some of the photos have colours which one might not usually see with the naked eye, such as the very yellow moon.

"I use a Panasonic Lumix with built-in neutral-density filters which cut out the glare and create the vivid colours in the photos," he said.

"I don't over-edit my photos; I don't call it cheating!"
