Rona Lockyer snapped a photo of her children celebrating seeing the Northern Lights in Sheriffmuir, Dunblane. The event was made even more special as her daughter is named Aurora.

Vignesh Ramesh snapped this dramatic image of the waves crashing against rocks at Kilt Rock waterfall, Isle of Skye.

Eva Pavlovic from Cumnock snapped a photo of this adorable three-day-old Highland cow.

Alastair Nunn enjoyed the view of the Five Sisters of Kintail from Ratagan in the Highlands.

Ben Needham and his wife Jennifer spent three weeks exploring the Highlands and islands. He said: "We loved all of it but were most impressed by the various Neolithic sites we visited. What did these circles mean to the people who put them up? Were some of my long ago ancestors right here?"

Brian Harris from North Berwick had his day brightened when he spotted a little bit of love while stopped at some roadworks. He said: "Made me smile, hopefully you too".

Derrick Tipple from Fife snapped a photo of the Sponish suspension bridge near Lochmaddy, North Uist on a misty morning.

Jamie Vince captured this stunning image of the A3 Comet at the Stonehaven War Memorial on Black Hill, Stonehaven. He said: "The comet was visible by eye for about an hour before it fell into the horizon."

Alan Sanders cycled past the Titan crane at Clydebank on a clear morning. The calm water had been disturbed by speedboats heading up the Clyde.

Alan Burnett took this shot from the settlement of Cornaig on the north coast of the island of Tiree.

Robert Donald from Cults, Aberdeen snapped this photo of his son Findlay, 11, and his uncle Robert Watt. They were taking a rest and enjoying the view of Loch Etchachen in the Cairngorms plateau on the way to climb Mr Donald's 40th Munro, Benn Mheadhoin.

Harry Ho made a "late-night dash" from Edinburgh to Kelvingrove, arriving at 01:00 to spot the Northern lights over Glasgow. He had envisioned capturing the shot for "quite some time". He said: "What a surreal night. I’m beyond thrilled to say it was worth every second—another one ticked off the bucket list."

Graham Christie from Helensburgh spotted this colourful Mandarin duck swimming through the trees in the River Leven, Balloch.

Duncan Watt's dog Bozo was excited to meet this Highland cow while out for a walk near Kirkcaldy.

Ian Jackson of Newton Dee enjoyed watching a blackbird snacking on some berries near the old Deeside railway line.

Rod Martin from Inverness enjoyed a day out driving classic cars with friend Martin Buchan. The two stopped to enjoy the Bealach na Gaoithe viewpoint, looking over Loch Torridon. The white car is a 1981 Scimitar GE and the other is a 1981 MGB GT LE.

Alistair Murphy spotted a crow enjoying the view from Arthur's Seat in Edinburgh. He said: "Ironically, this photo was taken on the haunch of Arthur’s Seat and not on the adjacent Crow Hill."

David Seaman from Fordingbridge, Hampshire snapped this image from a plane while landing at Barra Sands airport on his way to walk the Hebridean Way.

Stephen Leitch from Elgin enjoyed a walk around Newforres Wood and Muiry Wood when he spotted these colourful mushrooms. He said: "While enjoying the autumn colours, I soon discovered that the forest floor was carpeted with a variety of mushrooms and fungi and just as my walk was ending this Fly Agaric came into view illuminated by sunshine."

Allison McMahon captured Hunter's Moon - October's full moon - rising above the horizon over Riverside Drive in Dundee.

Neil Selvester also saw the supermoon from Rutherglen Main Street.

Frances Stacey said she spent a cloudy afternoon with her best sheep, Lavender, in East Mey, Thurso.

Jonathan McKernie took this picture at Stobsmuir Ponds (known locally as Swannie Ponds), Dundee - the buildings are on Pitkerro Road.

Walter Baxter captured this fluffy cat relaxing on a wheelie bin in Bank Street, Galashiels.

Siân Mutch took in this view across Union Terrace Gardens in Aberdeen.

Iain Campbell captured his first trip in 30 years to Plockton - a rainbow appeared for the occasion.

William Fraser walked to the war memorial overlooking Stornoway. He said it was beautiful to the east, but 15 minutes later there was a hail shower from the approaching clouds.
