The victim of a fatal stabbing in Bexhill has been named by police as Rita Lambourne.
Three people have been arrested since the 58-year-old died from her injuries at her home in Bayencourt South on Wednesday.
On Friday, a 48-year-old man from Bexhill was arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody, Sussex Police said.
In a statement, Ms Lambourne's family described her as "a much loved member of the community and was adored by her family and friends".
The statement read: "Rita's family would be extremely grateful for any information that can be offered, and would like to request privacy at this difficult time."
Earlier this week, a 39-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of murder, while a 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
They both have been released on conditional bail.
All three suspects were known to the victim, police added.
The force is appealing for witnesses and asking anyone who saw anything unusual in the area between 20:00 and 22:00 GMT on Wednesday to come forward.
