A Hull road which closed after a lorry struck a railway bridge has now reopened.

Stoneferry Road was closed between the junctions with Foster Street and Woodhall Street following the incident which happened at about 09:20 BST.

It is the second time a large vehicle has struck the bridge this year.

In February, Hull East MP Karl Turner called for "urgent action". He said there had been many similar incidents in recent years.

Network Rail previously said there was signage at the bridge to warn drivers of height restrictions.
