Driver arrested after cyclist injured in crash

A man has been arrested on suspicion of drug driving after a cyclist was seriously injured in a crash in York.
North Yorkshire Police said the crash happened on Monkgate, at the Huntington roundabout, at about 17:40 BST yesterday.
It involved a grey Hyundai and a cyclist, who was taken to hospital for treatment on serious injuries.
The force said the driver, a man in his 50s, failed a roadside drug test and was arrested on suspicion of drug driving and causing serious injury by careless driving.
He was later charged with failing to provide a specimen and remanded in custody.
The police have appealed for witnesses to the crash to come forward.
