Two men have been taken to hospital with serous injuries after a crash between a silver Toyota Prius and red Nissan Note.

Emergency services were called to the B1040 Somersham Road in Woodhurst, Cambridgeshire, at about 16:00 BST on Wednesday.

The driver of the Prius, a 21-year-old man from Peterborough, was taken to Peterborough City Hospital with serious injuries.

The 70-year-old female driver of the Note, from Wisbech, had minor injuries, after the car went into a ditch.

Her passenger, a man in his 70s, also from Wisbech, was taken to Hinchingbrooke Hospital in Huntingdon with serious injuries and remains in a stable condition.
