Inquest opens into death of BGT semi-finalist

An inquest has been formally opened into the death of a Britain's Got Talent semi-finalist who died last month.
The body of Martyn Crofts was found by police in Whinny Gill reservoir in Skipton, two days after he was reported missing on 16 December.
Assistant coroner Gill Kane said the provisional cause of death is listed as drowning.
Mr Crofts, from Skipton, won over Britain's Got Talent judges in 2012 as "the pan man", with his impersonation of a singing Dalek from Doctor Who winning him a spot in the semi-final.
Following a short hearing, the inquest into his death was adjourned to a future date at Northallerton Coroner's Court.
