Police appeal after delivery driver assault

Police have appealed for information after a delivery driver was allegedly assaulted in Hull on Saturday.

Humberside Police said the incident happened around 19:50 GMT on Elgar Road when a man shouted obscene language in the street before approaching the delivery driver.

Officers said the driver left the scene before they arrived and attempts to locate him have been unsuccessful.

A 21-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of racially aggravated provocation of violence, racially aggravated assault and criminal damage.
