Two arrested after motorway drugs seizure

Two people have been arrested and charged in connection with the seizure of drugs with an estimated street value of £77,500 in southern Scotland.

The haul - including cocaine, heroin and cannabis - was recovered from a car which was travelling north on the A74(M) near Lockerbie.

Police stopped the vehicle at about 20:20 on Wednesday.

A 47-year-old man and a woman, aged 39, will appear at Dumfries Sheriff Court at a later date.
