Driver injured in crash after police chase

A police car was also damaged after pursuing the VW Golf

A man is in hospital after his car crashed following a police chase in Glasgow.
The collision happened on Corkerhill Road, at its junction with Mosspark Boulevard, at about 12:20 on Monday.
Police Scotland said the Volkswagen Golf had failed to stop for officers on Paisley Road West at about 12:15.
The 22-year-old driver, who was injured in the incident, was arrested.
A force spokeswoman said: "A vehicle pursuit took place and the Golf was involved in a crash on Corkerhill Road at Mosspark Boulevard.
"A 22 year-old man has been arrested in connection and inquiries are continuing."
A police car was also damaged, she added.
The driver was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, where his condition has been described as stable.
