Traffic filter cameras set to start in November

Cameras to stop some motorists from using six routes in Oxford are set to come into force in November.
The ANPR cameras, which aim to reduce traffic levels, will catch private car drivers on short sections of the roads.
Seventeen types of free permits, external are available for residents and some cars including funeral businesses, driving instructors and firefighters.
Any driver going through a filter who is neither exempt or holding a permit will be issued a £70 fine.
It is hoped the restrictions will encourage people to use buses, walk or cycle.
The traffic filters will be located on, external:
St Cross Road, central Oxford
Thames Street, central Oxford
Hythe Bridge Street, central Oxford
St Clement's Street, east Oxford
Marston Ferry Road, Marston
Hollow Way, Cowley
The cameras will operate for seven days a week from 07:00 until 19:00, except those in Marston Ferry Road and Hollow Way, which will only operate from 07:00 until 09:00 and from 15:00 until 18:00, Monday to Saturday.
The traffic filters are due to come into force after the Network Rail works on the Botley Road finish in October.
