Boy, 16, arrested after street stabbing

The attack happened in Kidderminster on Tuesday, police said

A 16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a stabbing in Worcestershire.

The attack happened on Market Street, Kidderminster, at about 17:00 BST on Tuesday, West Mercia Police said.

A 17-year-old boy was taken to hospital with injuries which they said were not thought to be threatening to his life.

Det Insp Warren Matthews added: "Understandably our community will be concerned by this incident but I would like to reassure the public that we believe this to be an isolated incident."
