A woman aged in her 80s suffered serious injuries when she was hit by a car in Kidderminster.

The collision happened on the Crossley Retail Park, Carpet Trades Way at about 10:00 GMT on Monday, West Mercia Police said.

The victim, a pedestrian, was hit by a Mercedes Sprinter delivery van that was entering the depot.

A man, 22, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, while the victim was taken to hospital with potentially life threatening injures and remains in serious but stable condition.
