Attempted murder charge after man's throat cut

A man has been charged with attempted murder after another man's throat was cut.

Thames Valley Police was called to Albion Crescent in Chalfont St Giles, Buckinghamshire, at about 23:25 BST on Tuesday.

The victim, who is in his 60s, suffered wounds to the side and back of his neck, and remains in hospital in a serious condition.

A 21-year-old man, from Hillingdon, west London, has been charged with attempted murder and possession of a bladed article in a public place. He was due to appear at High Wycombe Magistrates' Court earlier.

Senior investigating officer, Det Insp Dominique Muldoon, said: "Our investigation into this incident continues and we would like to thank the public for your patience and co-operation while we conducted our inquiries."
